Killeen, Texas, July 29, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) On Thursday, the Texas police said that they had arrested a soldier, Pfc. Naser Jason Abdo, 21, building a “terror plot” against Fort Hood, which is a military base. The law enforcement officials also reported that back in 2009, a fellow serviceman went on a shooting rampage and killed many. Naser Jason Abdo, an AOWL Muslim American Army private told police that he wanted to attack his fellow soldiers in the military base. The police officials suspected the soldier when a gun-shop owner informed them his purchase of weapons. The law enforcement officials tracked him down and arrested him on Wednesday. 
Dennis Baldwin, the police chief told a reputed media outlet that Naser Jason Abdo targeted military personnel. He also added that the man had no accomplices as such and he is expected to face federal charges. Dennis Baldwin also said that the police officials are not yet aware of any other threats to the safety of the community. Erik Vasys, the spokesperson of FBI said that the agents discovered some bomb making materials from the soldier’s room. The law enforcement officials of Killeen arrested Naser Jason Abdo at a local traffic stop and he was taken into custody without any incident. He is presently held in Killeen City Jail. Speaking about the soldier, the Police Chief said that Naser jason Abdo is a “dangerous individual and he is where he needs to be”. Moreover, Dennis Baldwin classified the whole incident as “terror plot”.
“I can tell you that we would probably be here today giving you a different briefing if he had not been stopped”, Dennis Baldwin said. The law enforcement officials said that the suspect was charged with possession of child pornography. John Carter, the House Army Caucus chairman of R-Texas thanked the gun shop owner for notifying police. He also added with the help of the gun dealer, “we may well have averted a repeat of the tragic 2009 radical Islamic terror attack on our nation’s largest military installation”.
