Samsung Restore Unveiled By Sprint

APR 20 (PRINTWORDS NEWS)- On the eve of the earth Day Sprint has joined hands with Samsung to release the Restore, an eco friendly Android phone. It will be offered by Virgin Mobile USA a prepaid brand owned by Sprint. As far as eco friendliness is concerned the device is made of recyclable material up to 83 percent. The packaging is done by totally recyclable plastic. Samsung earlier launched a number of handsets made with recyclable materials such as the Samsung Reclaim and Samsung Blue Earth. The restore has an AC adapter with Energy Star certification.

The Samsung Restore has a numeric keypad on front and also packs in a side based QWERTY layout keyboard. It feels solid in hands. The QVGA resolution screen of the Restore supports 262k colors. When you slide out the QWERTY keyboard the display shifts from portrait to landscape. The keys are big enough for effortless and quick typing. This phone will be loved by the users who message a lot.

The phone also has apps for social networking fans and stereo Bluetooth support. It offers support for popular email services like Gmail and Yahoo. Other IMAP and POP3 servers are supported as well. It also syncs great with Outlook. The Restore has EV-DO and so it will be able to use Sprint Radio and other broadband services of the operator. The phone packs in a 2 MP camera which takes mediocre quality images. The phone has 61 Mb inbuilt memory but supports microSD card up to 16 GB.
