APR 19 (PRINTWORDS NEWS)- The dual core smart phone battle is about to begin what with the companies releasing their own versions of multimedia behemoths. The G2X from T Mobile is a contender made by Korean giant LG. It boasts of impressive hardware spec and great multimedia performance. It is 4G capable, features the mighty NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core CPU and comes with a HDMI port as well. This is the best you can expect from a high end smart phone these days to be candid.
The new T Mobile G2X looks strikingly similar to the LG Optimus 2X that made its presence felt at the CES 2011 earlier this year. The G2X features the same look and features as the Optimus 2X but also incorporates HSPA+. The black, dark gray and silver hued body of the G2X is not very stylish but it still manages to look elegant. The build quality of the phone is solid as well. It comes with HDMI out which lets you hook it up to your LCD TV and play back the contents on the large screen.
The G2X has a WVGA 800-by-480 pixel screen which is ideal for web browsing and media playback. The colors look bright and images appear sharp. The screen however gathers smudges quickly. The G2X does not have any overlay used atop Android Froyo. An OS update is due this year says T Mobile. It is a multimedia behemoth as well. The 8MP camera takes good quality images and it comes with a huge number of settings. There is no physical camera button though. It also records FullHD video and the quality is as good as you can expect from a smart phone. The images look almost as good as the ones taken by a digital camera.
The phone has a Tegra dual core CPU and therefore it tackles multitasking with ease. Runs start and run very fast and there is almost no experience of lag. The browser is an ace one and page loading is smooth and fast. Overall, the G2x holds it out well with other high end smart phones and it is reasonably future proof as well.
