Aug 8, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) It was the night of felicity and fanfare as the who’s who of the entertainment industry walked down the red carpet to receive the much coveted Teen Choice Awards 2011 on Sunday. Singing sensation Taylor Swift turned out to be the favorite of the audience as she managed to nab six surfboard trophies that included much sought after Ultimate Teen Choice award for her “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry” as well. The Grammy award winning singer received awards for the favorite female artist, red carpet icon for fashion, favorite country singer, best country single for “Mean” and best break-up song for “Back To December”. 
Taylor Swift seemed excited and happy, as she was honored with so many awards in the gala night. As she received the award, the “Mine” singer thanked her fans for being there for her and supporting her through thick and thin. In her acceptance speech, the country sensation said that she is happy to receive the award and it feels amazing. The “Tim McGraw” singer also added that when she was a teenager, she felt that people stereotyped all the teenagers as “being very intense and dramatic and passionate and hopelessly romantic and excitable”. However, the gorgeous singer said that now when she retrospect, she feels that all such qualities are completely amazing.
In the end, she told all her teen fans that they should never lose their inherent things. Taylor Swift added that she feels honored that her fans chose to give her the award. Teen sensation Selena Gomez performed her hit song “I Love You Like a Love Song”. She also grabbed Teen Choice Award for best TV actress in a drama for her famous role in “Wizards of Waverly Place” and she has also been named as choice “hottie”. Her boyfriend Justin Bieber also won award for being the top “hottie” and also being the choice “twit”. The “Baby” singer received award for the top male artist for his recent contribution in television. Demi Lovato won special “Inspire” trophy, hunky star Robert Pattinson won the award for choice vampire for “Twilight”, Daniel Radcliffe won Choice Summer Movie Star Male, to name a few.
