“The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” Star Russell Armstrong Found Dead

Aug 17, (PRINTWORDS NEWS) “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” celebrity Russell Armstrong has been found dead in his apartment of an apparent suicide on Tuesday. The estranged husband of Taylor Armstrong reportedly hanged himself and was found dead at his friend’s house in his bedroom on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8:16 p. m. by the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Russell Armstrong was 47 year old and he is survived by his five year old daughter Kennedy with Taylor Armstrong, 13 year old son Aiden from his previous marriage and an 11 year old son with his former fiancee Milette Fields. The reality TV star was also bogged down with debts of $1.5 million.

A reputed celebrity and lifestyle media outlet reported that Russell Armstrong’s friend found him dead in his room and then called emergency services. An officer from L.A Coroner’s Office, Ed Winter said that the law enforcement officials did not find any suicide note in the house. The police did not even find any alcohol or drugs in the room. Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce last month, claiming that Russell used to physically abuse her. “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” housewife was informed last night and her attorney Robert Thorne said that she is shaken by the death news of her estranged husband. Taylor Armstrong’s attorney said that the reality star is devastated at the unfortunate death and she requests privacy from her fans and media, so that she can comfort her five year old daughter.

Condolences are pouring in since the time the news of Russell Armstrong broke out. Andy Cohen, the executive of entertainment network Bravo took to Twitter to express his condolence. In his statement he maintained that he is sad to hear the demise of the star and his “prayers and thoughts” are there with Taylor Armstrong and her family. Bravo released an official statement that read, “All of us at Bravo are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of Russell Armstrong. Our sympathy and thoughts are with the Armstrong family at this difficult time”.

Richard French, the spokesperson of Los Angeles Police said that the death appears to be a suicide by hanging. However, the police is still finding the reason that triggered this alleged suicide. Last month, in one of his interviews, Russell Armstrong told a reputed media source that the pressure of a television celebrity is “overwhelming” for him. Referring to his divorce with Taylor Armstrong, he said that this Bravo reality show brought forward their amendable problems and then made them worse. He added, “This is a devastating time. We had a wonderful marriage and I don’t want you to get the impression that Taylor and I are bitter enemies — we’re not”.

Russell Armstrong’s lawyer told a reputed media outlet that the estranged husband of the reality star had $1.5 million debt and he had been staying at a friend’s house, where he was found dead. The lawyer also added that he felt bad for Russell as he suffered from financial problems and his credit card were also not working. According to the lawyer, Russell Armstrong was “bummed out” about his divorce with his wife. On the other hand, when Taylor Armstrong filed for divorce last month, she told that her husband used to physically and verbally abuse her in their six years of marriage. Russell Armstrong defended himself saying, “Maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were. This show has literally pushed us to the limit”.
