APR 20 (PRINTWORDS NEWS)- Verizon wireless which is one of the top cellular network service providers in the USA is now involved in a network expansion drive. After launching 4G LTE network in some prominent cities in the USA and the company is now focusing on expanding the blazing fast network in mid size markets in both the Midwest and south. These include places in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Incidentally, Verizon became the first carrier in USA last year after to launch the much touted LTE (Long Term Evolution) network. The last month it hogged headlines again after unveiling the first LTE smart phone on its network aka the HTC Thunderbolt. The company plans to cover the USA with its LTE network by the year 2013. The initial feedback of its 4G network is great even though it does not face congestion as of now. After Verizon’s move the rival operators claimed that they had upgraded their 3G network though they could not match Verizon’s LTE network in terms of speed.

As of now, Verizon offers two capped data plans for the LTE network users. Verizon is yet to announce any unlimited data plans for the LTE network users though they can continue using after they exceed the data limit.
